And after months of “silence” they decided to proceed with the work so Thornbridge could “survive”. She claims the offices were “barricaded” at the time and no one answered the phone. They “encouragingly” presented the plan to Peak Park in March 2020 – shortly before the first lockdown. ![]() She wrote in the community magazine Under The Edge last year that they spent their life savings on a driveway and a café so the concourse could remain open to the public. She did not respond to a request for comment about the planning battle, but asked for support from visitors and local residents. ![]()
